Brattleboro's 11U Little League team opened the state tournament with a resounding 10-0 victory. Evan Wright held Colchester to just two hits while striking out seven across 4 2/3 innings. He also ended the game in the bottom of the fifth inning with a walk-off 2-run triple. He went 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 RBI. Third baseman Sam Bogart had a base hit and turned a fine double play in the third inning. Harper Cutler (2 RBI) John Satterfield (1 RBI) each had multiple hits. Rowan Lonergan and Gabe Alexander contributed key RBI hits as well. Colchester couldn't figure out Wright but Elijah Wood and Jack Robinson each got base hits. Brattleboro will advance to face Connecticut River Valley North.

Brattleboro's 11 year old All-Stars opened their tournament season in dominant fashion with a 19-1 victory in Rutland. Evan Wright started on the mound and struck out 7 batters while allowing an unearned run. He was also on base all four times he came the plate with two hits, two runs, two walks, and two RBI. Brattleboro's hits came from up and down their lineup. Leadoff hitter John Satterfield had a base hit and two runs scored. Catcher Alex McClelland scored three runs, knocked in a pair, and lined a long double. Mason North, Harper Cutler, Keagan Systo, and Gabe Alexander all knocked in runs.

Keagan Systo threw five innings of one-run ball to lead Brattleboro's 11 year old All-Stars to victory. It was their second consecutive victory in the five game series. Systo mixed his pitches while striking out seven batters and allowing just one hit. He also scored a run. John Satterfield and Alex McClelland each singled and scored. Sam Bogart had a base hit and scored twice. Will Fontaine and Asher Jackson each got their first hits of the series. Rutland got a base hit from Mickey Colvin in the second inning. Hagen McDermott walked and scored in the fourth inning. The series returns to Rutland on Saturday, July 7 at 2PM.

Brattleboro's 11 and under team completed a sweep of Rutland with an 10-1 victory. Sam Bogart threw five innings on one-run ball to contain Rutland and send the team onto the state championship. Bogart was masterful with seven strikeouts and only three hits allowed. Brattleboro got on the board early when Alex McClelland walked and scored on a Harper Cutler RBI single. McClelland had two hits and two runs scored in the game. Cutler's hit was one of three on the day and he scored a run in the sixth. Cutler also came in to pitch a scoreless sixth inning to close out the win. The second inning was also productive for Brattleboro. Keagan Systo led off the inning with a double deep into right field. Rowan Longergan and Mason North followed with singles and later scored. Zach Corbeil walked and also scored. Brattleboro also got hits from John Satterfield (1-4, run) and Gabe Alexander (1-1 with a walk). Brattleboro will now advance to the state tournament at a time and location to be determined.
