CF Brandon Weeks led the A's offense with his first career Little League HR, a two-run shot out of left field. McKenney, Frost, and RF Thomas Bell also added hits. The Pirates struggled at the plate but saw great defense from rookie outfielder Sam Bogart and second year 3B Dylan Sparks. RHP Troy Forkin started and struck out four while giving up just two hits.

RHP Sam Hall struck 11 Reds batters over four solid innings of two-run baseball. C Forrester Avard went 3-4 at the dish, knocking in four and falling a home run shy of the cycle. The Giants also got hits from Hall, RHP/1B Degan Gundry, and rookie LF Rowan Lonergan. The Reds scored two runs in the first inning with 3B Alex Palomba and C Turner Clews crossing the plate. Clews later added a hit as well. LHP/1B Joey Reynolds played sterling defense on the mound and at first base.

The Athletics dominated once again for their second win of this young season. 3B Josh McKenney hit a triple and scored four runs out of the leadoff spot. SS Cameron Frost added two hits and three runs scored. RHP Brandon Weeks started for the A's and struck out three while allowing one run over two innings. Rookie 2B Zach Corbeil had his first Little League hit - a double and came around to score. The Cardinals' lone run came when 2B Makai Gardilcic laced a single and later scored in the first inning. Rookie LF Jayke Glidden made a great catch in his first Little League game.

RHP Jackson Emery threw a one-hitter and struck out seven in a complete game. He also had two hits and scored four runs against the Mets. The Reds' offense exploded in this one with SS Alex Palomba and 3B Willem Thurber also having multiple hit games. 1B Joey Reynolds and 2B Jett Emery added some firepower as well - each hitting balls to the wall and scoring multiple runs. The Mets went through some growing pains in their first game but RHP/3B/SS John Satterfield laced a single and scored in his first Little League at bat. 1B Thaddeus Engstrom-Keep was the defensive star, turning an unassisted double play.

The Cardinals mounted several rallies and benefitted from hits from SS Tristan Evans and rookie C/RHP Mason North who got his first Little League hit. Another first year player, Andy Cay, scored two of the Cardinals nine runs.

Red Sox Rookie 3B Dane Mulverhill shocked the crowd with an historic grand slam in his first Little League at bat. His blast, part of a two-hit game, came in the first inning after 1B Brock Longe had hit a three-run home run in his first at-bat of the season. Longe had a three-hit game, adding two triples as well. LF Anthony Matias and RHP/SS Sam Henry each had two hits. SS/RHP Will Hill and C Harper Cutler each had a hit and scored two runs. Henry, Hill, and Longe pitched for the Red Sox. The Pirates rallied from an early deficit with big hits from SS/RHP Devin Speno, C Nick Gerard, and LF Sam Madow. RHP Wayland Walsh gritted through five innings in relief to keep the Pirates in the game.

An inside-the-park home run off the bat of 1B/LHP Brock Longe highlighted a big night for the Red Sox' offense. RHP/SS Harper Cutler hit a triple and scored three runs out of the leadoff spot. SS/3B/1B Will Hill and C Sam Henry each added a hit and three runs. CF Cody Corbeil and 3B/RHP Dane Mulverhill also had hits and scored a run each. Cutler, Mulverhill, and Longe combined to hold the Mets hitless. The Mets showed marked improvement in their second game led by two scoreless innings thrown by RHP Gabe Alexander who also struck out four. RHP/3B/SS John Satterfield, Alexander, and RF Dominic Johnson scored the team's three runs.

The Reds' offense was hot once again on a chilly night at the ballpark. SS Alex Palomba led the charge with three hits including a bases clearing triple. LHP/1B Joey Reynolds had two hits and scored three runs. 1B/RHP Willem Thurber had two hits at the place and threw 2 2/3 scoreless innings while striking out 4. The Cardinals' offense had trouble getting going but SS Tristan Evans laced a double in a three-run second inning for the Redbirds. C Mason North, 2B Cadance Gilbert, and LF/RHP Andy Cay all scored in that inning.

Giants SS Sam Hall lined a massive home run beyond the batting cages in center field as part of a three-hit, 6 RBI night against the Mets. 1B Degan Gundry added a pair of hits and scored two runs. The Giants' rookies shined as well in this one. CF Rowan Lonergan got a base hit and RF/RHP Hayden Avard hit a two-run double. Avard also made his debut on the mound, striking out two in an inning of work. RHP Alex Baker, RHP Tucker Sargent, and Avard combined to hold the Mets hitless. The Mets played solidly through the first 2+ innings as they led the Giants 3-2. RHP Evan Wright was solid in his first start of the season - striking out 4 batters in 2 1/3 innings. SS/RHP John Satterfield scored two of the Mets' four runs and made several nifty plays on defense. LF Dominic Johnson and 3B Thaddeus Engstrom-Keep also scored runs for the Mets as the took advantage of walks and defensive miscues.

Red Sox RHP/SS Sam Henry hit his first career home run in Little League but A's SS/RHP Cameron Frost walked off with an inside the park grand slam. Frost's HR was part of a three-hit night as he also threw two scoreless innings and struck out four. Despite a strong start on the mound by Henry, the A's took advantage of multiple Red Sox errors and ran wild on the basepaths. 2B Zach Korbeil had a hit for the A's and scored. 3B Josh McKenney, C Alex McClelland, and Frost scored three runs each. The top of the Red Sox order continued to hit - C Harper Cutler and SS/1B Will Hill each got hits and scored.

Pirates SS Patrick Gagliardi hit a bases-loaded, two-out double to give the Bucs a lead in a wild fourth inning. Down 7-2 when the inning began, the Pirates fought back with huge hits from C Nick Gerard, 2B Sam Bogart, and CF Dylan Sparks. Wayland Walsh started for the Pirates on the hill, Troy Forkin held the lead, and Devin Speno closed out the Bucs' first win since 2015. The big Pirates rally came after Cardinals RHP Tristan Evans' had thrown 4 1/3 innings of two-run ball, striking out eight batters. The middle of the Cardinals batting order also played well with 1B Makai Gardilcic lining two doubles and scoring three runs. 3B/RHP Dallin Wachtelhausen also had two hits for the Redbirds.

SS Wayland Walsh had three hits and 1B/RHP Devin Speno added a pair for the surging Bucs. The Pirates lineup had hits throughout their order. C Nick Gerard, LF Troy Forkin, 2B Sam Bogart, CF Bryer Sage, and RF Montez Venson added to the hit parade. The Mets played solidly as well in this one. C Will Miskovich's single and heads-up baserunning gave the Mets a run in the second. RF Avery Martin and Jacksyn Mcallister added base knocks. SS John Satterfield made several fine defensive plays and scored a run.

The Red Sox took a lead in the fourth inning, powered by a long double hit by C Sam Henry. Keen baserunning allowed him to score on the play while knocking in two. SS Harper Cutler hit a double out of the leadoff spot and played slick defense. 3B/RHP William Hill had two hits in the late innings.

RHP/SS Cameron Frost threw five innings of shutout baseball while striking out 13 Giants. At the plate, he blasted a two-run home run to pad the A's lead late in the game. The Athletics also benefitted from clutch RBI singles from 1B Charlie Clark and SS/RHP Karson Elliot. 2B Zach Corbeil continued to hit as well. He laced a single in a four run third inning for the Athletics. The Giants were led by RHP Sam Hall who struck out 10 but ran into trouble in the third as the A's loaded the bases. However, Hall would get the Giants on the board and break up the shutout with a monster home run to center field in the bottom of the sixth inning. C Forrester Avard also had a hit for the Giants - a long triple in the fourth inning.

The Athletics continued their winning ways with contributions from players throughout their lineup. SS/RHP Alex McClelland, 2B Karson Elliot, C Cameron Frost, and RF Cameron Cruz all had two-hit games. The A's also utilized new pitchers in this one as RHP Keagan Systo got the start and McClelland relieved. Rookie LF Ayoub Lajhar got his first hit in Little League and came around to score. The young Mets continued to progress and gave the start to nine-year-old RHP Gabe Alexander who allowed two hits and struck out one in 1 1/3 innings. RF Matthew Montgomery and CF Landyn Cartee got base hits and 2B Nathan Potter added an RBI single. Cartee also made several fine plays while manning center field.

RHP/SS Sam Henry got the Red Sox back to their winning ways by tossing 4 1/3 hitless innings while striking out seven Cardinal batters. He also added his second home run in as many games - a towering three-run shot to left field. SS/RHP Harper Cutler threw the final 1 2/3 of no-hit relief. The Red Sox also got a three hit game from RF Anthony Matias and a two-hit game from 1B Brock Longe. Rookie 3B Dane Mulverhill also had a base hit. The Cardinals offense struggled to get hits, but managed to score five runs. RHP/SS Tristan Evans, SS/RHP James Fagley, C Mason North, 2B Makai Gardilcic, and CF Eli Coughlin scored runs. Gardilcic's skilled baserunning and stellar play at second base were highlights for the Cardinals.

SS Sam Hall hit three majestic home runs deep into the night at the Brattleboro Little League field to lead the Giants. Hall's three home runs were part of a 4-4 night as he also added a double and four RBI's. RHP/2B Forester Avard struck out eight Pirates while allowing just two runs. The Giants also got two doubles from CF Rowan Lonergan. His first double cleared the bases. 3B Derek Sargent, 1B Degan Gundry, and C/RHP Tucker Sargent also had hits for the Giants. The Pirates got hits from SS/1B Patrick Gagliardi and 3B/RHP Wayland Walsh. 3B Troy Forkin showed off a strong arm and flashed great leather from the hot corner.

3B/RHP Jackson Emery hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 7th inning to hand the Athletics' their first lost since 2015. The extra inning game was the first of the year for the league and resulted in a classic with C Turner Clews coming around to score the winning run. Clews had started the inning with a single which was the Reds' first hit of the game. Emery was also the winning pitcher after 2 2/3 innings in relief of RHP Willem Thurber. Thurber allowed just one run but left with the A's up 1-0. A bases loaded walk to 1B Joey Reynolds netted the Reds' first run in the 5th. RHP Josh McKenney tossed 4 1/3 hitless innings for the A's and RHP Brandon Weeks gritted out 2 2/3 innings of relief before allowing the single to Clews in the seventh. McKenney also had two hits and scored the A's lone run in the first on an RBI single hit by SS Cameron Frost. Both teams played crisp defense in the field highlighted by plays from Reds SS Alex Palomba and A's C Alex McClelland.

SS/RHP John Satterfield worked a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the seventh inning to knock in 1B Jacksyn McAllister and deliver the Mets' first win. Down by three runs going into the seventh inning, the young and resilient Mets rallied for four runs to win it. C Will Miskovich hit an inside-the-park home run in the 4th inning and RHP/1B Evan Wright had three hits for the Metropolitans. 3B/RHP Gabe Alexander had a base hit in this one as well. Wright, Alexander, and Satterfield pitched the Mets to victory. Cardinals' leadoff hitter and shortstop, Tristan Evans, lined an inside-the-park HR in the seventh inning and scored three runs. 3B/RHP James Fagley and 2B/RHP/1B Makai Gardilcic each had two hits. LF Jolie Glidden, C Mason North, and 3B/RHP Dallin Wachtelhausen all had base hits for the Redbirds.

The Red Sox struggled to get a rally going but SS/RHP Will Hill hit a triple and scored two of the Sox' three runs. 1B Brock Longe hit an RBI double and RF Wyatt Sargent lined a hard single. RHP Sam Henry struck out seven Giants including five of the first nine batters he faced.

The Reds' prolific offense was relentless in the rain on Saturday afternoon. 1B Willem Thurber had two hits including his first Little League home run - a three-run blast out of right field. 3B Jackson Emery had a four hit afternoon and knocked in two. C Turner Clews also scored four runs on three hits. P/1B Joey Reynolds had five RBI on two doubles and a single. Rookie CF/2B Nolan Chisholm lined two hits for the Reds. He also hit a single and played excellent defense behind the plate. C Turner Clews got the Reds started early with an RBI single in the first. 1B Joey Reynolds hit two doubles and made a number of deft plays in the field. LF Jasmine Vargas had a base hit in her only plate appearance but also made a great catch in the outfield. 2B Jett Emery had two hits and added steady defense. The A's were in this one the whole time despite Thurber's slam. Down 9-2, they rallied for five runs in the late innings led by hits from LF Keagan Systo and C Alex McClelland. CF Brandon Weeks hit a triple and a double. 3B Bronson Finnell and 1B Thomas Bell also had hits for the Athletics.

Wright and Alexander both pitched well and Alexander made several acrobatic plays to get outs. The Cardinals' SS/RHP James Fagley had two hits including a leadoff inside-the-park home run. SS/RHP Tristan Evans also had two hits and scored three runs. The Reds' 2017 season has been highlighted by a powerful offense, dominant pitching, and stingy defense. Saturday was no different as SS Alex Palomba and 1B Willem Thurber each hit home runs, LHP Joey Reynolds threw a two-hit shutout and the defense committed just one error. Palomba's home run was part of a three-hit effort and it was his first Little League roundtripper. C Turner Clews hit two doubles, scored three runs, and knocked in two. Reynolds added a two-run double and CF Nolan Chisholm hit a two-run single. The Pirates' two hits came off the bat of SS Patrick Gagliardi. On defense, CF Sam Bogart made a fine catch and C Nick Gerard continued to be rock solid behind the plate.

C Forester Avard hit a single and scored a run while his younger brother, Hayden knocked in a pair on a single to right field. The A's bats scuffled against Hall but Frost had a hit and 3B/RHP Josh McKenney scored a run after being walked in the first inning. CF Brandon Weeks played well in the outfield.
